Most Gracious Lord, You have promised that You will be a shield protecting me at all times. When the storms of adversity rush in to blow my life apart, it is You I count on to cover me … when the floods of adversity start to pull me down, it is You I rely on to lift me up onto higher ground … when the weight of the world comes crashing down on me, it is You I depend on to bear the burden for me … and, when the red-hot flames of temptation try to scorch me, it is You who keeps me from being burned. I am so grateful that Your eyes are my perpetual lookout for danger and Your power stands ready to defend me from harm. I rely on Your promise to go before me to fight on my behalf and act as a wall to protect me from the attacks of my enemies. I know I can count on You to back me up whenever anything becomes bigger than I can handle. You are The Sure Rock upon which I’ve built my life.
I am confident that, if I obey Your commands and do Your will, You will teach me how to be victorious and an overcomer. I trust that when You promise to protect me … You will keep my adversaries at bay and allow me to walk in Your light so I do not stumble and fall. Whenever I seek protection from impending or perceived danger, I will run to You, My Strong Tower. With You standing by my side, I feel safe and I rejoice at being under Your covering. I am blessed to know that You keep Your eyes on me at all times and Your ears are attentive to hear my prayers. With You standing with me, I will not become fearful because Your power is greater than anything I could possibly come up against. Your Word assures me, “… if God be for me, who can be against me.” When I take a stand against evil or face daunting circumstances, I know everything will be okay because You are greater than anything I face.
I believe that You set Yourself against everything and everyone that is evil. Those who plot evil surely will face the power of Your wrath. You are my refuge and the place where I can find safety under Your arms. The forces of evil fear Your name and that is why I carry it as a banner everywhere I go. From the rising of the sun to the setting down of the same, I know Your hand steadies me and shields me from the forces of darkness. When anything, natural or spiritual, comes in like a flood to drown me, You will rescue me. Because of Your pledge to protect me, neither death, nor principalities, nor powers, nor any other created being can separate me from Your loving care and hedge of protection. I believe that, as My Faithful Guardian, You will strengthen me and keep me from harm. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
