Blessed is Your Name, O Most High God, for You are the Ruler over all things and You generously share Your bounties with me. In order to acquire Your knowledge, I must listen and give heed to all You have to say. If I am to be successful, I must walk in what You reveal to me about the way I must go. I am overjoyed that You are willing to impart Your wisdom to those who have a sincere desire to follow You. Your works have existed since the beginning of time and they give testimony to Your awesomeness. You are the One who established the order on the Earth and have put me into submission to them. As a result of my relationship with You, I know that all of my needs will be met. Because I am serious about following You, I will take up the yoke You’ve prepared for me and bear the burdens which You’ve lightened for me in order to ease my journey in this life. As You reveal Your heart to me, I will expose mine to you. I content in the fact that You watch over me and fill my life with Your goodness.
You created me and destined me for an eternal inheritance. You have given me a sufficient number of days that allow me to learn Your ways … adapt to Your goals for me … and prepare me for sharing Your goodness with others. You have given me the power to choose between good or evil … sharing or withholding … and, selfish or unselfish service. You have endowed me, through my belief in You and the working of the Holy Spirit, with the ability to overcome whatever circumstances I might face. You created me in Your image and ask that I reflect You in all that I do. You have given me eyes to see and a tongue to speak the truth. Help me use them wisely. You have given me ears to hear and a mind to reason. Help me use them wisely. You have given me hands to work and feet to bear burdens. Help me use them wisely. Fill me with Your knowledge and understanding so that I might produce fruit in Your harvest fields and leave behind an inheritance for others.
Lord, You know me well and have outlined a race for me to run. Help me use my talents wisely and remain thankful for the good things You’ve brought into my life. Teach me how to give freely, so that I do not become selfish. Show me how to discern good from evil. You have established an eternal covenant with me, so help me cherish it and never take it for granted. Enlighten me on ways to deal with adversity and temptation and guide me in walking in Your ways. I need Your help in making my will align with Yours. Make Your truths clear to me so that I can learn the ways of righteousness. I want only You to have control over my life … I don’t even trust myself anymore. I want to become an active, functioning, productive part of Your Kingdom. Therefore, I ask that You instill in me a teachable spirit and a submissive will. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
