O King of Kings and Lord of Lords, how majestic is Your name and how glorious are Your benefits. I rejoice because You are with me wherever I go and in whatever circumstances I find myself. You encourage me to be strong and courageous … not terrified … and, not discouraged … when troubles abound and I face tough decisions. You’ve shown me that I can choose to be strong and bold … even when I am feeling my weakest. The path I take with my life depends on where I’m looking and in whom I am placing my trust. If I look to myself and my problems, my courage fades away. The choice to be brave rests in my confidence that You are with me and nothing can separate us. Only through the eyes of faith am I able to see my obstacles being cast aside … my path forward being marked clearly … and, none of my problems being bigger than You. I am confident that if I keep my eyes on You and follow obediently, my outcomes will be positive and I will be invigorated by Your might and valor.
When things do not go my way, I will refuse to become discouraged or depressed. For I know that You are a God of surprises … filling my emptiness with hope … lost opportunities with success … sadness with joy … and, impossibilities with possibilities. I am thankful that I am not limited by my abilities or knowledge … instead, I have access to the greatest resource whose wisdom, strength and blessings always stand ready to rescue me. My paltry possibilities are made robust by Your infinite creativity and awesome power. I know that the longer “I hang in there” awaiting the answers to my prayers, the closer I am to my breakthrough. In my times of waiting, I will focus on Your abundant love and how blessed I am … for I know that You renew the strength of those who wait on You.
I must always remember that in whatever I do, I must do it with enthusiasm … motivated by love. Help me, no matter how I am feeling, develop a habit of putting first things first rather than ignoring them and hoping they will go away. In whatever I am doing, I must do it unto You with all my heart. And when my strength wanes, I must count on You to fill me with Your power so I can complete my task. When my boldness melts away under the heat of trials, give me Your valor. In order to please You with my life, I must act with the heart of a “true” servant and the faith of a “true” believer. I know that as Your child, I must not shrink from my calling because it comes with many opportunities to accomplish much good for Your Kingdom. Guide me in truth and fortify me with strength and courage for my journey going forward. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
