Because You Live, O King of Kings, I can face whatever tomorrow brings because fear has been driven from my life and You have shown me the way to abundance. Because You live, I am no longer held in bondage to sin and death. I walk among free men looking for ways to advance Your Kingdom. No longer can I say that I am forsaken or that my life is empty and without meaning because You stand with me through all of my difficulties and struggles. I am now Your elect and You take delight in having me as Your child. Because You live, I am not alone to work out my own solutions to the many problems I face because I have Your wise counsel to help me. No longer do I feel unfulfilled because I know You have a purpose for me and a race for me to run. I must no longer be concerned whether I live uprightly or produce an abundance for Your Kingdom because, like the vine and the branches, so long as I remain in You the power, wisdom and endurance I need to succeed will flow from You to me.
Because You live, I am able to change my ways to emulate Yours … change my thinking to align it with Yours … change my words and attitudes to be one with Yours. Because I have witnessed the miraculous changes You’ve made in … turning a caterpillar into a butterfly … making a pearl from a grain of sand … transforming a piece of coal into a diamond … and growing a living, breathing creature out of a fertilized egg … surely, You can (through my new birth) make me into a new creation that is able to walk in Your ways and shine forth Your light. Because You live, the power of Your words resound in my heart and mind and beckon me into a deeper relationship with You. You’ve not promised that my walk with You would be easy, but that it would lead to victory and a prosperous life. Because You live, my darkness has been has been turned into Your marvelous light so that I am able to better detect the traps set before me.
Because You live, I live also … because You live, I can walk in victory … because You live, sin has no hold over me and the sting of death has been removed … because You live, I am not my own, but a vessel to be used by You for good … because You live, I am an overcomer who has been empowered to put down the lusts of my flesh, eliminate unclean thoughts and avoid the pitfalls of worldly temptations. When I look into a mirror, I no longer see a worried, frustrated and overwhelmed person; instead, I see royalty, for I am the son of a King … I see a warrior clothed in the whole armor of God … I see a priest offering up myself as a living sacrifice to You … I see a peacemaker, calming the hatred and bitterness being promoted in the world. Through You, O Living God, all things are possible and I want Your possibilities to become mine as I learn walk with You. Because You live, the door to contentment, fulfillment and peace has been opened to me. Long live My King!! And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
