I praise You, O Lord of Hosts, for in Your mercy and love You have given me financial stability, good health, a sound mind and a renewed spirit through Your well timed interventions in my life. I know that everything You’ve given to me is good and I should perpetually give You thanks for it. I need not shy away from asking You for blessings so long as I am thankful for them. I can never take Your generosity for granted and, instead, use Your gifts to serve You better and bring You honor. You instruct me to give You thanks regardless of what situation I find myself. To do that, I can never lose sight of Your promise that all things will work together for my good … if I love You and seek You with all my heart. While resting in Your love, I should give You thanks for the strength You are building in me through the struggles that I face. To find prevailing peace, I must turn all my worries over to You.
You have assured me that You will enrich my life with good things. Therefore, I should be generous at all times so that my generosity will result in thanksgiving to You. You reward me when I generously share Your blessings with others. Through my living for You, I’ve also been made victorious. You have turned Satan’s apparent victories, in the Garden and on Calvary, into defeats through Your resurrection. I am thankful that death is no longer a source of dread and fear. Death has been defeated and I’ve been given hope beyond the grave. I give You thanks for Your laws because they establish the parameters within which I am to live. These boundaries tell me everything I need to know about my safety and righteous living. Through Your Word, I am reassured that Your love will never run out because it flows from a well that never runs dry.
As I continue to live in You, I am strengthened in faith and filled with a deep appreciation for all of the things You’ve provided so I can have a good life. As Your child, I should always be mindful of the things You do for me and express my thankfulness for them. My heart urges me to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness in the afternoon. When I live in Your presence, I cannot help but wanting to share Your Good News with others. My thanks should never be sporadic and, instead, continually be on my lips. Without too much effort, I should be able to find something for which to be thankful. I can never find enough words to express my appreciation for Your goodness to me and I am thankful that my life is in Your hands. It is not always easy to understand Your perspective and timing, but I am striving to become more thankful for all You’ve done for me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!!
Psalm 30:11-12 … (You have) clothed me in the joy that my heart may sing to You and not be silent. O Lord My God, I will give You thanks forever.
Love this! I need to work on being more greatful and generous! This was a great reminder for me!
Love you lots,
MK
