May praise be given to You alone, O God, for You are mighty and clothed in splendor and majesty. You shine forth Your light and shower Your people with blessings. And embedded in those blessings are … contentment, prosperity, good health, protection, guidance and love. These expressions of love toward me demonstrate Your Godly qualities and the affection that You want to share with me. As You blessed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and instructed them to be fruitful, so from the goodness of Your heart have You commanded that I go forth and be fruitful with my life. And when You promised to bless Abraham by fulfilling his desire for a son, so You have blessed me by giving me the desires of my heart.
Out of a deep respect for You, I give praise and honor to Your awesomeness and I willingly bow down to Your holiness and power. As I surrender my will to You, I’m acknowledging the characteristics which You alone possess that compel me to submit to Your sovereignty. As a recipient of Your mercy and grace, I am able to express gratitude for the many gifts You’ve bestowed upon me. Because of Your goodness, I promise to acknowledge Your many benefits (the forgiveness of my sins … healing for my body … the salvation for my soul … overflowing love and compassion … and, satisfying my longings with good things). You alone are worthy of my worship and honor, for Your greatness is beyond anything I could ever imagine. My life is filled with great joy from partaking in Your love, sharing it with others and basking in the bounties which flow from it. I feel blessed at all times and Your presence continually enriches my life. Your blessings bring joy to my heart in ways that motivate me to overcome evil and do what is good.
Because Your kindness means so much to me, my heart is moved to do things that spring forth from a true and sincere love. It includes a desire to demonstrate to others the compassion You have for them and their needs. Your encouragement has given impetus to a genuine concern for the welfare others. This new love for them demands that I do good works in a way that is heart-felt and freely given. It requires that I pray for others with prayers that are passionate and unceasing. Your loving kindness urges me to speak to them about the many benefits that come from surrendering their life to You. I feel called to show them the way to the open door of Your heart. I will help them understand that their past effects their present and their future. I will strive to show them how their actions today will become a part of their past and are the beginning of their future. I rejoice in sharing in Your many blessings and my hope is that my brothers and sisters will learn to share in them too … for surely there are plenty of blessings for all. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
