My Beloved Savior, thank You for coming to open my eyes and turn me from darkness to light. You’ve released me from the power of Satan so that I could receive forgiveness for my sins and have a place among those who are sanctified through their faith in You. Through divine justice, the price has been paid to redeem me. Through Your sacrificial atonement, my ransom has been paid and I am now the beneficiary of newness of life through my faith in You. As a result of the price You paid for my freedom, I am no longer a slave to sin and my fleshly yearnings. My life is not over because of my failures … it’s only beginning because of my faith. I am a “new creation”, born of faith and it is not in my spiritual DNA to waver in unbelief. I now stand on a foundation built upon Your power and grace. I know that as I learn to persevere in faith … You will strengthen me for the journey ahead.
Through faith, I’ve been crucified with You so that I no longer live, but You who lives in me … and, the life that I live in the flesh, I live by my faith in Your all-encompassing power. Now that You are at the center of my life, I will become re-made in Your likeness. I can no longer become entangled in worldly philosophies devised through human reasoning … for I have been called to pursue the righteousness You gave as My Example. I must be willing to put forth the effort to fight the good fight of faith against the forces of evil. I must become active in sharing my faith and revealing the good things provided through Your mercy and grace. I cannot become lazy. Instead, I must become an imitator of those who through faith have inherited Your promises. I want to draw nearer to You so that I can begin to align myself with the goals You have for my life.
I believe that the trying of my faith helps develop the patience that is required to mature and become complete … lacking in nothing. I am thankful that You have chosen me to be rich in faith and for the promises You have reserved for those You love. I trust that through my faith in You, I will be shielded from the unyielding forces behind my struggles and trials. And, as I walk in faith … not doubting or wavering … I am confident that I can bring You honor and glory. I believe Your promises that tell me that everyone born of You is an overcomer and that You reward Your followers. Because of my faith in You, fear has no place in my life nor do the trappings of the world nor the enticements of my enemy. As I move my life forward, I will flee from evil and pursue good. No longer will I try to stand in my power … I will stand on my faith in You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
