You, O Lord, are the center of my life. Because of Your faithfulness, I will always praise You and live to reflect Your awesomeness to everyone I meet. With You by my side, I feel safe and, whenever I feel danger approaching, I will seek You as my hiding place and refuge. The richness I sense in my life comes from You and my relationship with You. Whenever I face difficult choices or I become confused, I seek Your counsel because I believe that You know what is best for me. Often the circumstances and facts I am dealing with change before my very eyes, but I know that You are always calm and consistent in Your dealings with me. With You at my right hand and my eyes fixed on You, I am confident that no harm will befall me and I’ll be able to handle whatever I face. When everything around me is shaken, I am assured that my life will stand up to the test because I’ve built it on You, My Rock.
I have confidence in my future because I’ve put it in Your loving, all-knowing hands. If I keep You at the center of my life and I keep my eyes focused on You, I know I can count on You to protect me from evil and provide me with a constant source of supply of whatever I need. As a result of taking pleasure in turning my life over to You, I now live in peace, without fear and worry hounding me all of the time. I feel comforted by Your pledge to be with me always and to send the Holy Spirit to help me manage my problems and give me rest. My life sits squarely on Your shoulders because You are my burden bearer and I know that You will help me deal with each one by making it lighter so I can handle it. You are my lamp, putting forth the light that guides me to the place where I belong. In You, I have been able to find fullness of joy and hope that is boundless.
In accepting Your call, I’ve committed to loving You and sharing Your love with others … I’ve taken Your name to be my own and I am striving to make Your name known … and, I’ve pledged to let You grow in me and so I can share the fruits with others. As You care for me, I am learning to care for the needs of others … and, as You build me up, I encourage and strengthen my fellow man. You mean the world to me and I want to be an active part of taking Your Kingdom to those who are lost and have no purpose. With You in the center of my life, I can overcome the power of sin … put others needs above my own … act as a servant rather than seeking to be served … and, do with less so others can have more. Because of You, I know that I will never be the same. Becoming like You has become my life’s ambition and I will give it my best to achieve it. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
