Confident of Victory

Most Beloved God, I have read of Your mighty works and I am in awe of the things that You have done.  Even today, Your people cry out for You to rescue them by repeating those deeds on their behalf.  In times of need, we look for You to make Yourself known to us.  And, if we look closely, we can see your splendor in each beautiful sunrise … and, Your power in the thunderbolts that streak through the sky during a storm.  You created the earth and make it tremble under the shaking of an earthquake to remind us You are God.  Your mountains rise up into the sky like a vast, righteous army awaiting Your instructions as their King and Commander.  Your ways are eternal and form a staircase leading the way to knowledge and truth.  Prosperity and good health are the rewards You offer to those who follow in Your footsteps.  Your displeasure can be seen when the winds of Your fury blow down upon the lives of those whose evil You want to expose.  You uncover their corruption and bring forth justice.

In the same way that You uphold the moon and stars in the heavens, You sustain my life.  You walk by my side and clear a path before me.  You have offered Yourself as a sacrifice for my sins and You have anointed me with Your love.  You crush the hand of those who try to do me harm and You lead me to places of rest and refreshing.  With Your powerful right hand, You protect me … and You shelter me beneath Your wings.  Each moment spent with You is filled with joy and I hunger for Your words of wisdom.  The sound of Your voice gives me courage and strength.  I know that when I awake each day I will be faced with trials, turmoil and temptations … but, I remain confident because I know that You are standing with me and have a plan for dealing with every challenge I face.  Though everything collapses around me, I will take solace in the fact that You will be there to uphold me and remain a constant companion.

I take comfort in the fact that evil will not triumph forever because You are in control.  I am confident in the fact that You will come to my aid whenever I call.  In all things, I accept Your will and ask for Your continuing mercy and support.  I understand that when I go astray You will discipline me in love so that I return to You.  I believe that I can overcome any obstacle, stronghold or sin with Your help and guidance.  Change is always possible when it is linked to You.  I rejoice and offer up praise for who You are and what You do on my behalf.  The things that devastate most people will not destroy me because I belong to You.  You give me complete confidence in being able to persevere through whatever evil befalls me.  I live in the strength of Your Spirit and remain confident of victory over the things that come to rob me of Your blessings.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

I Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God!  He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
