Content In My Lord

All praise and honor be Yours, O Gracious Lord.  You are my Creator and the Source of every good thing in my life.  I find hope and optimism in the things I have learned about You in our times together.  Because I find myself under Your perpetual care, I give thanks for all You’ve done in meeting my daily needs.  As my Provider, I know You will fill my life with good things.  Through Your grace, I am able to lead a productive and joy-filled life.  Help me grasp, that in You, I have all I need to successful and prosperous.

I am content in my salvation because I accept the forgiveness of my sins and, as a result, I feel free and renewed.  Through my faith in You, I have been redeemed from a future plagued with defeat and eternal death.  My “rap sheet” has been expunged … my ”debt” has been paid in full … and, my “tab” has been covered by Your precious blood.

I am content with my lot in life. You have brought me into this world, called me by name  and drawn me to Yourself.  You have chosen this time and place in history for me to make my mark.  You’ve given me the time and talents to carry out Your will and participate in a good life.  You’ve placed people in my life who love and support me.  I am hopeful about the person You are helping me become.

I am content in the fact that You are all I need.  Your strength is mine … Your wisdom is mine … Your riches are mine … Your health is mine.  You have promised me that You will be with me always. Worry and fear have no place in my life.  The peace from knowing my store house is full is also mine.

I am content with the fact that everything I face pales in comparison to Your awesome might.  As Your child, I have an inheritance that includes all the things I need to be successful.  As a beneficiary of Your love, I am a recipient of every good thing You have to offer.  I cannot imagine a need I might have that You cannot meet.  The security of Your love makes me feel complete.

I praise You, My Lord, because Your mercy endures forever.  I am content in Your love because it protects me from evil … has wrapped me in truth … gives me hope … and, teaches me to never give up.  As I mature, I am learning to be content in whatever state I find myself because You keep my cup full … never letting it go empty.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen!!

Philippians 4:11 I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself.
