Dear Lord, I Am Yours

Thank You, My Lord, for Your constant and steadfast commitment to me.  I am also thankful for the many times that You’ve called me to come and spend time with You … enjoying face time and getting to know You more intimately.  Through Your penetrating knowledge of my heart, help me understand why I find it so hard to stay committed to daily prayer, reading Your Word and giving devotion to You.  Show me the “Pharaohs” in my life who discourage me, place barriers in my path or tell me to get back to work.  In Your power, help me free myself from the things that bind me to the earth instead of allowing me to become a Kingdom builder.  I want to be able to seek first Your Kingdom because, if I do, I know the things I need in my life will be given to me.  In my heart, I want to stand with You, listening to what You have to say and becoming a doer of Your words.

Make me aware of the things that distract me from being of service to You.  I have come to learn that balance is a key to a successful life.  In striving for balance, I want to include the works that You have called me to do … I want to stop spending time and energy on things that do not move my life and the Kingdom forward.  Help me never forget that I make time for things that are important to me … and, for sure, You are extremely vital to my life.  I know that it is Your desire and good pleasure to supply all the things I need for a successful and joy-filled life … the things that help me walk uprightly and add abundance in all things.  I have come to learn that every gift You have to give me is perfect, holy and meant for my good.  I do not want to become confused by the things that deflect my attention from You or become distractions.  Neither do I want to be slothful toward the work You’ve given to me on earth or my responsibilities to be a friend to others.  Help me become dedicated to loving service to You and my fellow man.

In Your righteousness, I ask that You judge me and purge me of all that is unclean and unacceptable in Your sight.  Eliminate from my life the things that hinder my walk with You each day.  Mold me into Your likeness and image.  Never allow me to stray from Your loving kindness or Your strong right arm which are my source of supply and protection.  May You reign supreme in my life and the lives of others.  My wish is that my days will be filled with bounteous living and peaceful joy for I am Yours forever and ever.   And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.
