O King of Kings, I acknowledge that You have power over all things and You sustain them with Your mighty strength. Under Your watchful eye, nothing happens without Your knowing about it. You are in control of all things … despite all of the perplexing things that go on in my life. As long as You extend Your hand to me, I will take it and allow You to take me to a place of peace and safety. I know that I can count on You to go before me and make a way when I thought there was none. You tear down barriers and the strongholds that try and limit my actions on Your behalf. When I face my most difficult obstacles, I know I can come away a victor if I turn to You for strength and guidance. What You promise, I know You will do. Even the powers of Hell will be subdued and made to bow down before You and declare that You are Lord. In You alone resides all power, justice and righteousness.
You have assured me through Your Word saying … “I am God and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.” Because You are God, You will always be able to accomplish the things You set out to do and I must decide to join You or get out of Your way. I know that what You say is truthful and You have the power and authority to back up anything You say. My heart tells me that if I will listen to You and obey Your commands, You will draw close to me and help me walk uprightly. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I know that You are personified in Your Truth … You are the only Way for me to achieve victory … and, You are the sole provider of everlasting Life. In uniting myself with You, I am made more Christ-like … and, in so-doing, build a conduit that allows Your blessings to flow to me. You have said that You are the door to Your Father … and, I have chosen to enter in so I can share eternity with You.
As My Leader, You do not want me standing idly waiting for Your blessings to be poured out on me. Your desire is for me to follow Your directions, doing what I can do and counting on You to do what I cannot. As the world grows darker and darker, it is Your light that gives me hope. When I am weary and want to give up, it is You who gives me the perseverance and will to keep up the good fight of faith. When I feel unloved and forgotten, You remind me that I am important enough to You that You laid down Your life so I could take up mine. When evil attacks with the intent of stealing everything You’ve given to me … You fill me with faith, empower me with the Holy Spirit and give me the sword of Your Word to defend myself. I do not understand why You do all of the good things You do for me … but one thing I do understand is that You reign supreme in my life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
