Lord of Power and Wisdom, You created all things by the power of Your words and, in Your wisdom, established the laws by which all men live. Throughout the ages, Your wisdom has produced good outcomes and prosperity for Your creation. If I subject myself to Your ways, I know that I will experience success and fulfillment in my life too. As I study and reflect on your teachings, I will be blessed with good choices that lead to good outcomes. When I obey Your commands, I will find favor with You and my fellow man. In all my ways, I try to remain mindful of your commands so that I stay in line with Your will. As I learn the fear of the Lord … lean not on my own understanding … and, seek Your will … I know it will become easier for me to resist evil and do good. And, I will not shy away from Your reproof … nor feel disdain for Your chastisement … because I know You correct those You love.
Since I’ve begun seeking Your wisdom and trying to understand and emulate Your ways, my life has been filled with peace and contentment. No longer do I try to figure out what is best for me on my own; instead, I follow the roadmap You laid out for me in Your Word. Nothing I possess can compare to Your wisdom. Your instructions mean more to me than silver or gold because they provide life to my body and refreshing to my soul. As I follow Your lead, I know I will be blessed with length of days upon the earth … fear and worry will be banished from my life … and, I will find peace and rest. As I seek Your guidance and council, I trust that You will guide me in righteousness. That’s why I find security and sure footing in following You. Therefore, before I go to sleep at night, I will meditate on Your Word so that evil will have no place to rest.
Fear and worry have been banished from my life through the power of Your words. In them, I find courage and strength. My desire is to listen to Your instructions, absorb them and walk in the wisdom they impart to me. I cling to Your teachings because they help me persevere through my most trying times. As I go about my days, I focus on Your words and they uphold me. I cherish them and they give me security. As I seek more of Your wisdom, I know You will direct my steps and help me brush aside the impediments to overcoming obstacles in my life. If I reject evil and its efforts to turn me from You, I know I will be able to see Your will more clearly and not fall into the traps set for me by my enemies. As I go forward, I promise to keep Your commands before my eyes and hide them in my heart. In so doing, I will be guided by Your wisdom so I can inherit the blessings You intended for me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
