My Precious Savior, I rejoice in the fact that when difficulties encroach upon my life You infuse me with hope to carry on. You have said in Your Word … “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen” … and theses words comfort me. With all that’s going on in the world, it’s easy to lose hope, but Your Word encourages me to not give up because You are standing by me. When I feel my hope slipping away, I am counting on You to remind me to turn to Your Word which enables me to see my solutions and act accordingly. I am learning that when I turn to You for my needs and ask for Your help in solving my problems … hope is the by-product of living by faith and trusting You with all my heart. Even when I am overwhelmed by trials and tribulations, my security remains in You. I should never lose hope because You have promised to fill my life with peace, joy and abundance.
As I become filled with joy and peace, which emanate from my belief in You and Your Word, hope floods into my life through the working of the Holy Spirit. Victories are made possible when I abound in hope … become patient in affliction … and, persistent in prayer. My goal is to begin each day striving to increase my trust in You. As I do, I am hopeful that others will follow my example and do likewise. After all, You speak the truth and keep Your promises … why shouldn’t my life be filled with hope and a zeal to share Your goodness with others? It should be easy for me to take hold of Your promises because You are faithful in fulfilling everything You say that You will do. Teach me how to wait patiently for Your answers to my prayers and cries for Your help.
The hope I place in You becomes a source of strength that sustains me through whatever I face. I must not lose sight of the fact that there is never a time when I cannot hope in You. Whenever my difficulties, necessities or burdens seem impossible to overcome, if I turn to You, then hope will give me the assurance that everything will work out for my good. As a result, I must focus on the possibilities You offer … to restore that which I have lost … infuse me with strength to persevere … lift the burdens from off my back … and, show me the way out of darkness. Fill me with Your hope so I can remain focused and move my life forward. My hope in You is the anchor of my soul … something sure and steadfast … that prevents me from drifting aimlessly or just giving up. Hope is my expectation that the things I believe in faith will be given to me. I am confident that as I maintain my trust in You, whenever I experience hard times, I’ll have hope for the road ahead. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
