O Generous and Benevolent Lord, I am so blessed to be Your child and a beneficiary of Your loving kindness. The truth is that I do not deserve Your blessings but, because of Your purity, goodness and unconditional love, You do not hesitate dispensing them on me. I consider myself blessed because …
I am totally dependent on You and You have been faithful in standing with me in all things and providing all of my needs … therefore, I feel secure.
I wear Your compassion like a garment which covers a multitude of my offenses for which I can never repay You … so, I am compelled to be a servant to all who have needs.
You feed me with Your goodness, so I do not yearn for more of anything but You … as a consequence, I must take the “milk and meat” of Your Word to a lost and dying world.
I am forgiven much … and, therefore, my inclination should be to forgive much.
You have set me free from the powers of sin, death and the grave … and, as a result, I no longer find myself enticed by the world or entanglements with sin.
I am filled with Your peace which gives me rest and allows me to build rather than divide … therefore, I am to build bridges between people who are separated by differences, the past and biases.
My faith has been tried … and because of Your power and strength … it’s been possible to persevere through the biggest and toughest trials and difficulties of my life … so, I must show others the way to walk by faith and not by sight.
You have given me a Comforter, Teacher and Guide to help me through each day and grooms me for the role You created for me. I must be willing to be a helper of those with needs I can meet.
You have surrounded me with a host of people who care about me, help me, encourage me and show me the way to become more like You. Like Paul, I must be willing to be all things in order to be an effective witness for You to them.
Your grace is like a puppy following me wherever I go … dispensing good things, filling me with hope, invigorating my dull life and sustaining my growth … therefore, I must share Your grace with others.
Your blessings are an expression of Your love and fondness for those who have chosen You as their Savior. They are an expression of Your good wishes and desire for the best in my life. That is why I know and believe that I am blessed. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
