Eternal God, You have accepted me as Your child and You sustain me in all things. You have given me the gift of life … “reborn” through the offering of Your body and blood as the price to pay to ransom me from eternal death and hell. You have endued me with power, strength and courage to face whatever challenges my future may hold. My single most important duty is to love and serve You with gladness and singleness of purpose. In so-doing, I will find delight in Your words and I will walk in Your ways. Help me keep my eyes on You and not become distracted by the ways of the world. Send Your Spirit to heal my pains and calm my fears. I trust that You will teach me how to be steadfast in my faith and walk uprightly before You. Through personal inspiration, guide me in thinking pure thoughts and acting in ways that are becoming to an heir. Help me be not only a hearer of Your words but a doer of them.
As a result of Your loving kindness, I will praise You with all of my heart. I will gladly submit my life to You because of Your devotion and faithfulness to my well-being. When I call out to You, I am confident that you will hear me and come to my aid. When I am weak and have lost hope, it is You who gives me the strength to endure. When I am lost and need direction, You open Your Word to guide me on the way I should go. I know that in Your promises I will find the answers to a safe and prosperous life. Even though You are high and lifted up, You will never forget me. And, when I find myself in trouble, I trust that You will protect me because You have called me to be Your very own. When my enemies come to deceive me or lead me astray, I know that You will stretch forth Your hand and send Your light to guide me in right paths. I believe that You have a plan for my life and Your desire is for me to be successful in living it out. Therefore, I know You will not abandon me or let my life be of little value.
I rejoice in knowing that You chose me to come into this world to know, love and serve You. With my life came a map for me to follow in living it out to the fullest. It is my race to run and I must run it. In times of difficulty, I must dig down deep and put forth my best efforts knowing You are standing with me to make up for any of my deficiencies. I am comforted in knowing how much You love me and how much You want to be a part of my days. Because of Your loving kindness, I will never lose heart … no matter how trying the times might be. I will stay strong because I know I am important to You and You want me to succeed. I am Your beloved child for whom You’ve sacrificed so much in order to give me a life filled with joy and abundance. I know that I am special to You because You have called me “special”. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
