O Glorious King, whose reign is forever, I have sought Your righteousness and justice and, as a result, I trust that I will share in Your benevolence and mercy. As Your words penetrate my soul, pour out Your wisdom on me … cast out all darkness … and, aid me in following in Your footsteps. I believe that as I focus on You, Your grace will protect me from evil and harm. My trust in You tells me that You will always be there for me because You respond to those You love and respond to Your calling. Direct my footsteps so that sin does not gain a stronghold in my life. Redeem me from the clutches of my enemies as I strive to align my life with Your will. Make Your face to shine on me as I focus on doing what is right and just. By Your example, You have shown me the path I must travel and I ask for Your help in staying on course. When I am drained and begin to lose hope, I will seek the comfort of Your words … keep my life moving forward … and, strive to emulate You.
I know that Your promises have been thoroughly tested throughout the ages and that’s why I consider them reliable and true. When troubles and hardship come my way, Your words bring me peace and reassure me that, if I persevere in faith, “this too will pass”. Your statutes are like beacons showing me the way to prosperity and good health. When I need You, I am confident, I can call out and You will respond. As I make time in my day for You, my eyes are opened to see clearly the provisions You’ve made for me. As I meditate on Your words, they remind me that no evil scheme conceived to sidetrack my life will succeed. As I endure suffering, You deliver me from my pain and replace it with Your joy. As my Shepherd, I’m depending on You to watch over and protect me. As I follow in Your footsteps, I reside in peace and nothing can cause me to fall away. I long for You like a thirsty man desires water and a hungry man requires nourishment. Only in Your presence do I feel confident about my future.
As I become more proficient in walking in Your ways, I believe that goodness and mercy will follow me wherever I go. As a laborer in Your harvest, I will eat of Your bounties. Blessings and prosperity will fill my life because You have become a part of it. How good and how pleasant my life has become since I’ve learned to live in unity with You and the Holy Spirit. I am comforted in the knowledge that in Your loving compassion, You have made provision for all of my needs. Help me keep You in the forefront of my life … following Your lead … obeying Your commands … drawing strength from Your always being near … and, knowing that no weapon formed against me can prevail. As my days on earth draw to a close, I will be able to look death in the eyes and be confident about my future with You in Heaven. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
