I Can Face Tomorrow

Most Merciful Redeemer, I am thankful that You have promised to console me in my times of suffering and provide Your grace when I face adversity.  As I pass through times of turmoil, I know I can count on You … whenever I feel like I’m about to drown in the sorrow of my tears, I believe You will be there to comfort me … and, whenever I am burdened by tests and trials, I am confident You will relieve me of them.  It is through Your love and tender mercy that I have hope and a way to a prosperous future.  I am encouraged knowing that You are attentive to my cries and Your hands are ready to begin the work needed to relieve me of my afflictions.  It is through Your strength that I am able to persevere in times of tribulation … overcome in times of trouble … and, find rest from the battles that I face each day.  When my spirit falters, You encourage me through the Holy Spirit and when all seems lost You step in.

How blessed I am to have You in my life.  You give me joy when I am sad and hope when nothing seems to be going right.  In my times of greatest stress, I know I can draw close to You by opening Your Word and listening to You minister to my needs.  I truly believe that I can cast my cares on You and You will take them upon Yourself because You care for me.  As a result of Your personal sacrifice on Calvary, and subsequent resurrection, I can now say with confidence “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”  Because of Your abundant love, I am able to say with conviction, “Yea, though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me.”  It comforts me to know that, as a man, You were tested in every way that I am and, therefore, are able to associate with the temptations and struggles I face.  If it had not been for Your mercy and grace, I am sure I would have perished.

Because of Your love, I am able to escape the clutches of fear and worry based on Your assurance of remaining close to me.  As I mature, I am developing soundness of mind and I’m less prone to becoming confused or dismayed.  If I do, through Your help and guidance, I will be able to solve even the most challenging problems I face.  As a result of my steadfast belief in You, joy and peace prevail in my life and have replaced doubt and whining.  With each day that passes with You in my plans, I feel more confident about my future and my abilities to deal with the unexpected.  Only You have the power to remove my pain and anguish when I suffer loss or experience failure.  It is You who wipes away my tears when sorrow and heartache enter in.  Because of Your loving support, I can face tomorrow … knowing that all of my problems will work themselves out.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Galatian 5:1 It is for your freedom that you have been set free.  Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened with the yoke of slavery.
