O Lord, You are My Rock and My Fortress. You cover me with Your kindness and loving care. You have blotted out my sins and provided me with a firm foundation upon which I can build my life. You have lifted my head when I become sad and You lead me into rejoicing during times of testing and trials. You are my all and everything that I need for happiness and contentment. Because of the many gifts You’ve given me, I will bless Your name at all times and praise shall continually be on my lips. My boastings will be about You. And I am humbled by all of the good that You have brought into my life.
Stand by me as I travel life’s road wanting to do what is right, but finding self, the world and my enemies standing in the way. Help me cling to You and Your Word for in them are light and the nourishment I need for my journey. I want to walk in Your righteousness and discern things correctly so that my life will be filled with Your goodness. I stand in wonder and awe of the mighty things You have done over time and in my life. You have spoken and it was done … You have commanded and the elements obeyed. I am thankful that You continually offer me Your counsel in whatever I do. You make pathways for me when there are none. I want to be able to hear when You speak and do what You command because Your words provide me with hope and guidance. Your counsel is filled with truth and Your ways will last forever. That is why I place my trust in You alone.
Watch over me and transform me into Your likeness. Fashion my heart to be like Yours … open and caring. Make my works to be like Yours … unselfish and productive. Show me the ways of a burden bearer … compassionate and dedicated with my time, talents and resources. In You, I find safety … help me lead others to the safety of Your wings. I no longer want to bear sickness, suffering and trials alone, for You have promised to strengthen me and prepare me to deal with them. Each day I look to You for my protection … the way a warrior looks at his shield. I know You are my source of grace, mercy and every good thing that happens to me. Each time I think of You and how much You mean to me, my heart rejoices. I trust You in all things … I believe every Word You speak … and, I know You are faithful to stand in the gap whenever circumstances come against me. Fill my life and those of my family with kindness and mercy as we look to You for our hope and supply. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
