I Love You So Much

I give thanks to You, My Lord, for Your perpetual light guides me to safe harbors … Your unfailing love draws me ever closer to Your heart … and, Your faithfulness gives me great delight in belonging to You.  For it is You who has saved me from eternal darkness and all manner of harm.  You are the steadying force in my life and I’ve learned to trust in Your Word.  My strongest desire is to be obedient to Your commands so that I can walk in the liberty You earned for me on the Cross.  I recount Your promises daily because they encourage me to continue in my efforts to change and give me hope for my future.  I am consoled in my sufferings because I know that through faith my deliverance is close at hand.  The earth is filled with your Glory … and I can both see and feel it … so I know I can count on the fact that nothing is impossible for You to do for me.

Preserve my life and turn me from aimless wandering.  Take away the disgrace that haunts my failures.  Help me mature in my walk by teaching me discernment and good judgment.  You are good and what You do is good … therefore, I want to emulate Your goodness.  Even though I sometimes get ensnared in the traps of the enemy, I will never forget You or Your love.  When I am afflicted and pass through fiery trials, help me maintain my focus so I can learn meaningful lessons to use in the future.  The wonder of Your love is an increasing source of comfort to me when I am struggling to keep my head above water.  Your compassion gives me hope that this too will pass.  I have made a choice to follow You, fellowship with those of like mind and devote myself to following You so that I will be strengthened and encouraged as I go through my daily life.

It is Your hands that made and formed me, so help me understand who I am and what I have been called to do.  I do not want to be an idle hearer of Your words, but in active doer.  I have sought Your face with all my heart and I have made an oath to be obedient to Your commands.  I have routinely taken time to reflected on my life and strived to make decisions that will live up to Your expectations.  Throughout each day, I try to focus on You and give thanks for all You have done for me.  I find myself asking “what would Jesus do?” before I do anything or give someone advice.  O where, O where would I be without You?  I cannot answer that question because I cannot imagine my life without You.  That is why I find myself crying out, I love You so much!!   And it’s in Jesus name I pray.  AMEN!!

I John 5:3 This is the love of God; to obey His commands.
