O Glorious King, when troubles come to overwhelm me and life seems too hard to bear, it never helps to worry so I turn to You in prayer. I know You will never forsake me when I call upon Your name … and, I know Your love is unending and You care what happens to me. I am confident that You understand my problems because You walked upon the earth like me. Over my life, I have come to realize that You are always there for me and Your heart is open to help me whenever I am going through trials. And it seems that every time I reach out to You, my burdens become lighter. So when I am frustrated with my life, I won’t hang my head or drag my feet … instead, I will quickly turn to You in prayer believing that I will be okay. For there is no storm too strong … no mountain too high … no river too wide … or force too powerful to keep You from coming to my rescue.
Being cradled in Your arms has taken away my fears and calmed my worries. You have always been there for me when I’ve acted in faith and practice patience. Down through the years, You have been faithful to hear my prayers and come to my aid. Your love abounds toward me in times of trouble and Your compassion reaches out to comfort me. I am thankful that Your eyes are always upon me looking for opportunities where You can intercede on my behalf to protect me from the forces that try to bring about my defeat. Each day I strive to make time to read my Bible, meditate on Your Word and seek the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit so I can mature and grow. It is through my faith in You that obstacles blocking my path are cast into a sea of calmness, strength, sound judgment and courage. I am assured that whenever I find myself in trouble, You will be there to defend me. Your desire is for me to walk in victory and possess the desires of my heart so that praise and joy can fill my days.
My goal in life is to walk upon the earth the same way You did. Becoming one who loves like You and showing it … becoming one who has studied Your ways and walks in them … and, becoming one who has submitted himself to You and acts like it. In the times I am successful in mimicking Your ways, my joy in life exceeds my expectations. When I fail and fall short, I need Your mercy and guidance to insure I get it right. My days on the earth are numbered and I do not want to waste any time struggling to get in conformity with Your will. I want to walk in righteousness as You did … so I’m asking that You stick close by as I start each day and never leave me to my own ways. I know that my life submitted to You puts me in good hands and I do not want to spend a single day where I do not feel Your presence with me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
