I stand in awe, O Holy One, for You are mighty and the giver of life. When I am patient and endure and do not grow weary, I know that You are my source. You encourage me to walk uprightly and You reward me when I do. As I hold fast to Your teachings, maintain my faith and do not waver (despite my trials), You are proud of me. I know that if I strive to overcome my sinful ways and the enticements of the world, You will give me a place at Your Table of Plenty. When I reflect on the things You have taught me from Your Word, they sustain me through my worst times. As I become faithful and obedient, I will find strength and power to persevere. I know that You have a special place in Your heart for those who love You. May my life be a testimony of Your greatness and loving heart.
You have said in Your Word that You know my works so, therefore, I should take steps to insure that my motives and actions are pure. I must also remain watchful and maintain my faith for the trials I will surely face in the future. The things You’ve spoken to my heart, I must receive … observe them … and use them to change my life for the better. I know that when You open a door, no one can close it … and when You close a door, no one can open it. Help me open my heart to You and close the door to sin in my life. I’ve learned that, when I face difficulties, You come quickly to rescue me. You’ve warned me to not become lukewarm in my faith because You reject half-hearted, improperly motivated beliefs. Help me insure that my words, actions and motives are in line with your desires. I accept the fact that those You love You also rebuke and chastise. Therefore, I will strive to respond positively, through true repentance, when You correct me.
I believe in my heart that You reward those who diligently seek You. Therefore, in my tribulation and need, I should not forget that You are with me and possess the things I need to be victorious and prosper. As You see my good works, unshakeable faith, loving actions, ministry without reservation and patience under stress, I trust that You will take note of them an record them in my “heavenly account” as good. I realize that You search my heart and desires and reward me according to what I deserve. Help me root out the evil, selfish and unloving things in my life so that I can be a blessing to You and others. I know that each day You stand at the doorway of my heart and, if I listen and invite You in, my day will be filled with many good things. I trust that if I take heed to what You say … my life will be prosperous and filled with good things. And it’s in Jesus” name I pray. AMEN!!
