O Heavenly Father, I am so glad that in Your House there are many rooms with plenty of space for all of Your children and all are welcomed. There is also a big yard with lots of space to move about and time for fun. Over the yard shines Your light to warm Your children and help them see the blessings and beauty that surrounds them. There is no place for dark and ominous clouds that cause panic and fear. There is prosperity and good health in the House and only good things can be found in it. Optimism and positive thoughts abound there because of the hope that resides in Your presence. Love flows because The Father is there and He is love. In His House, there is a lot of giving, unselfish living and true caring for one another. Man thinks he created the term “diversity”, but it was out of my Father’s heart that the term was born. He allows everyone to have their own thoughts and personalities and helps them blend together for the furtherance of His Kingdom. There is no place for crying in my Father’s House, because He is there to wipe away every tear and fill us with a joy that strengthens and helps us overcome any problem we have. There is warmth and safety in the House. Cold hearts and devious minds are barred admittance so all will live in quiet and peace.
Many times I’ve thought of Father’s House as a place to go when I die. And while that is true, I have also come to understand that the Kingdom of God is here and now too. As His child, I believe that He has made provision for my care the way my natural parents did. Where I live in my heart and spirit is also a dwelling place (a house so to speak) with the One I love and owe everything. As was the case with my natural parents, He too wants to care for me, nurture me in positive ways, teach me responsibility and the meaning of a good character and a work ethic. He requires that I obey Him and walk in the path He’s laid out for my life. In His Kingdom/House, I am valued and worth the sacrifice of His Son. His patience with my unruliness is beyond my human comprehension. His mercy abounds toward me when I do not deserve it and His grace is always sufficient.
Dear Heavenly Father, I am so overjoyed to know that I am Your child and an heir to many good things. Thank You for parenting me with so much love and tender compassion. You are a wonderful “Abba” who has generously cared for me. Your instructions have helped me overcome sin and empowered me to walk in righteousness. Thank You for the sacrament of forgiveness and reconciliation. In You, I am complete and lack nothing. In Your care, I am safe and satisfied. I cannot imagine belonging to anyone but You. Thank You for inviting me into Your Kingdom/House where I can dwell with You in peace, safety and love. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
