Glory be to You, My Lord, for if I give myself to You, You promised that old things would pass away and all things would become new. As a result, I am no longer a slave to sin, bad judgment and defeat … instead, I am a fountain of virtue, a repository of Godly Wisdom and my life is filled with prosperity and good fortune. The old me has slinked away in shame, while the new me has been resurrected to become a temple where You come to reside. Darkness has been replaced with light and cursing has been replaced with blessing. I now walk in honor and shame no longer torments me. You have set my spirit free and I know that my mind and body will follow. I will walk in the liberty which You bought with Your blood so that I could freely praise You for Your mercy and goodness which permeates my life. Surely the ugly and despicable parts of my past have been replaced by the wonderful newness that fills me with contentment and peace.
I know that as I give sway to the Holy Spirit, more of the old things that have plagued me in the past will be shed and I will be able to walk boldly in the light. The shackles of nasty habits and learned bad behavior will be replaced with clean living and righteous behavior. The guilt and mourning from past failures are being replaced with a joy and laughter that emanates from the new successes I’ve experienced with His help. I am enlightened and strengthened through the comfort and wisdom that come from following His guidance. As I walk daily with the Holy Spirit, I will shed the scars and blemishes of the wounds of past mistakes and will be restored through the health supplied via His unconditional love. The old failed ways are being replaced by new ways learned from the teachings of the Spirit. Through Him, the Word illuminates the darkness I once lived in and allows me to see more clearly the paths to obedience, sacrifice, good fortune and blessings.
In the miraculous gift of new life, I’ve been given the keys to peace, prosperity and happiness. The old demons of fear, doubt and worry have been vanquished. I can count on Your forgiveness because my repentance is real and heart-felt. As I feast on Your Word, I feel infused with Your goodness and Wisdom. As I relinquish my will to You, I feel less constrained and more able to move in the flow of Your will. Rebellion has been replaced with obedience; selfishness with selflessness; vanity with humility; and self-gratification with service to others. Sometimes I wonder if I can make it through all of the new feelings and wonder of it all … but I know I can because Your desire is to help me transform the pains, confusion and failures of a life devoid of You into the peace, joy and success that I’ve received in my newness of life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
II Corinthians 5:17 If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things pass away, all things become new.
