O Benevolent Lord, I humbly bow before You. In Your love and mercy, You have redeemed me from the powers of sin and eternal death. You have done for me what I could not do for myself. You have released me from the grip of my enemy and made for me an eternal home. I feel great sorrow for my sins which have pierced Your hands, feet and side. By the sacrifice of Your blood, the price has been paid and I have been washed whiter than snow. How can I ever repay You?
Through my trust in You, I embrace the truth that I am loveable and worth dying for. I accept the fact that every good and perfect gift comes from You alone. I rely on Your having my back in all things and that You stand ready to step in whenever I need a helping hand. I understand that my walk is sustained through Your fairness, justice and integrity. I can now rest in the assurance that You will never leave my side and You will not allow me to be tested beyond what I can stand.
Through faith, I believe that all things are possible if my faith is in You. I need You to teach me the way to walk by faith and not by sight. In Your teachings, I have come to understand that “real” faith is a bridge between my need and Your supply. It witnesses to me of the goodness You bring to my life when times are tough and things are not going my way. Like a life preserver, I count on it to bring me through the storms and floods of my life. By faith, the ancients were able to see the impossible become possible, dreams become reality and disasters turned into good … I too will see these things in my life.
Through obedience, my heart is being transformed into Yours. One that wants to please You and be a blessing. No longer will I live to serve my will, but Yours. I promise to fight a valiant fight to overcome my weak nature and the temptations of the Evil One. I offer myself as a living sacrifice in service to You and Your family. Using Your Word, I will map out a course for my life that will be pleasing to You. No longer do I want to fall in weakness to sin and, instead, stand uprightly in Your mercy and grace.
O Precious Lord, I bow down in adoration before You. I will bless Your name at all times and my boast will be in You. I will magnify Your name before the people because You alone are worthy of such praise. As each day passes, I will wait in hope for the bounties of Your love. My heart rejoices in the fact that You have brought me out of bondage into Your marvelous light. My hope and love for You are the keys to my attaining a victorious life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
