Precious Son of God, cause Your blessings to follow me wherever I go and protect me day and night. Lead me down right paths and I will keep my focus on You at all times. Let me know You are with me throughout my day guiding me as I take each step. Give me the strength and courage to do what is good and sustain me in whatever circumstances I find myself. Be my consolation in times of distress and hardship. Show me the way around pitfalls that await me as I journey through life. Give me the hope and confidence that when my time on earth is over, You will see me safely to my heavenly home. Keep me in Your peace and love so that I never waver in my desire to follow You. Help me grow stronger in my faith as I become filled with Your wisdom and let Your favor shine on me always. Show me how to live in peace with all men and give me a witness that will call to them to walk with me as I take up my cross to follow You.
Your love is like a beacon showing me how much You care. It reaches the inner depths of my soul making me want to be more like You. It dispels my sorrows and helps to heal my broken heart. In it I find a reassurance that tells me all things will work out for my good. Help me be a beacon shining forth Your light … streaming forth Your love … and, pointing the way to righteous living. As You have lifted me up, time and time again, use me to lift up others who have abandoned You by showing them the way of faith. As You have stood by me through every rough spot in my life, help me show others that I am willing to stand with them through their struggles and distress. In Your love, My Lord, send Your grace and mercy to surround me with hope and promise. Uphold me in my times of strife and turmoil. Guide me with Your truth. Teach me the lessons I need to learn in order to live my life the way You would.
In order to prosper, I must have time to grow spiritually. I need Your light to guide me … Your wisdom to teach me how to walk uprightly … nourishment from Your Word to feed my soul … and, the refreshing of the Holy Spirit adding vigor and perseverance to my life. Each day’s growth is essential in withstanding the winds of trials and struggles. Learning to deal with hardships will teach me how to combat depression, confusion, futility and distress. After each battle, I must learn to relax in the warm, healing powers of Your love and commitment to me. I cannot rush my growth … nor can I become complacent about it. Like an infant, I should understand that I must take baby steps that will build up my confidence before I can run. When I seemingly have no place to turn and things seem hopeless, I must not succumb to despair and, instead, look to You for my strength and comfort. As long as I continue to walk by faith, with hope in my heart, it will be easy to recognize that You are with me and together we can accomplish whatever needs to be done. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
