All honor and praise be Yours, My Glorious Savior, for in You resides perfect and abiding love. By Your commitment to my life, You pledged to be my Savior, King, Protector and Comforter. You have promised to be an active and constructive part of my rehabilitation from sinner to saint. You have entrusted me with Your truths and You stand with me as I learn to use them for good. Your love causes You to be patient with me as I learn to walk in Your ways. You are not easily angered by my failures and missteps. Because of my sorrow and repentance, You keep no record of my wrongdoings. You speak only the truth to me and You expect me to be open and honest with You in all matters. Because of Your covenant with me, You bear the hope I will live up to my potential. I know You will never fail me … I will try to not fail You. Since You gave Your all to set me free, I have an obligation to walk in Your ways to the fullest.
Through Your loyalty to me, You remain a true and constant source of wisdom and support. You and Your Word are unchanging and You honor all Your promises to me. You bear a strong allegiance to me because I was created by You for a purpose and You want me to be successful in carrying it out. You are devoted to my well-being, so You care for my needs. You never impose Yourself on me … deferring to my free will … even when You know I’m likely to make a bad choice. It’s unlike You to not try to show me the error of my way, but You never impose Your will on me … You just stand by to help me when I realize what I’ve done is wrong. Your words are always kind and encouraging, never rude or resentful. You delight when I do well and achieve success.
In Your faithfulness, Your promises are consistent and true. I can count on Your unchanging nature and constancy to be my Rock in the middle of a storm. You honor all Your promises to me by doing what You say. You never turn from Your oaths, responsibilities and affections to me. Your heart bears a genuine and caring love for me as Your child. I can trust my heart and emotions to You and know You will treat them with respect and kindness. In guiding me, Your instructions are clear and sincere. When others let me down, I know I can count on You. You are dependable and stand with me through all things. You have promised, via a pledge, to be my God and I, in turn, have pledged my fidelity to You. Through our union, I know that LOVE IS YOU and I will strive to emulate Your love to others. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
I Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
