Most Gracious God of Love, I rejoice every day knowing that Your love for me is limitless and unconditional. And, while a rose blooms, then withers, sheds its petals and is gone … Your love thrives and grows in me each day. And, unlike a dream that passes in the night, lasting only a few moments and then is gone forever, Your love is enduring and stands with me through all things. Waves roll up on the beach and wash away my sandcastles, but Your love stands like a Rock not being moved by the waves of my emotions that push against it trying to cause distance between You and myself. The seasons come and go as they must, but You alone remains the same day in and day out. Your love is the nourishment that feeds my soul and the drink that quenches my thirst. Your love is unmatched and unsurpassed in all the world.
Your steadfast love gives me the strength throughout my day helping me face whatever difficulties might come my way. Knowing You love me so much that You were willing to lay down Your life so I could take up mine lifts me to greater heights in our relationship and assures me You will stand with me in all things. When my days seem unending and joy has left my heart, the comfort of Your love allows me to re-energize myself and push on to a higher plain of holiness. Your faithfulness has lifted burdens from off my back and when I have felt all alone … Your love tells me that I am not. You are the source of many good things in my life … hope, joy, peace, comfort, prosperity … to name only a few. And, it is Your love that keeps me safe through the storms and strife that I cannot handle without You. You are my Rock and sure foundation on which I’ve built my life.
I need to feel the effects of your love with me throughout my day. Show me how to enjoy Your love while racing through a busy day. Teach me how to develop patience, like Yours, when I have none. Help me adopt Your wisdom when I make foolish, untimely mistakes. In everything You do, large or small, help me see Your goodness in it. When my world comes crashing down on me, reinforce it with pillars of Your love so that I might praise Your name with boldness. Constantly remind me that You are not only my Savior and my Redeemer, but You are my Friend with whom I can share everything. As I go about my life, infuse it with faith and perseverance so I can be victorious in whatever I undertake for You. My chief goal in life is to learn how to love You more deeply and more completely. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
Mark 12:33 Your are right is saying that God is One and there is none like Him. To love Him with all Your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength.
