Almighty One, I give You praise because You are my personal Alpha and Omega. You gave me life and a mission … that was my Alpha. When my time is done here on the earth and I’ve accomplished all that You sent me to do … that will be my Omega. Without You, I have no eternity … I have nothing that can change my life for the better … I have nothing to save me from sin and death … and, I have nothing to sustain me through the struggles and turmoil in my life. It is You who gave me a place in Your Kingdom where I find peace, safety and joy. And, You’ve made me a Priest to offer up sacrifices of praise to You. Apart from You there is no God … O, there are imposters like money, fame, influence and power … but none who are real but You. When I am separated from You, I drift aimlessly … having no power to change my outcomes … and, unable to fill my life with goodness.
You are the One who is … who was … and, who is to come. You are Ruler of the past, present and future. You are the beginning and end of existence, wisdom and righteous power. Your hands laid the foundation of the Earth and You will bring it to an end when the time is right. Because You are the Lord, all things must submit to You … either in this world or the next. You reside in the midst of Your creation … giving it life and sustaining it. You are a perpetual source of my guidance, encouragement, strength and supply, so that I may walk in victory … overcome the obstacles placed in my path … and, run my race with perseverance. I constantly feel You reaching out to me to help in whatever mess I find myself. You teach me what is best and direct me in the way I should go. As I learn to obey Your commands, I will abound in Your peace and You love will be with wherever I go. As I accept Your guidance and shepherding, I know that my future will be filled with promise.
I want everything in my life to begin and end with You in mind. No longer do I want my life to be filled with doing what I want. Every endeavor I undertake should be started with prayer and the seeking of the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. All that I do should be run through You to insure its outcome is profitable. If I am willing to take up my cross and follow You, my beginnings will start well and my outcomes will be in accordance with Your will. You formed me and know me the best … to whom then should I turn for guidance and direction? In Your awesome power, I can do things I never dreamed possible. With You at the helm, all of my journeys will have good endings … if only I will listen and obey. You are my Alpha and Omega, my beginning and my end … the One who sustains my life and empowers me for my mission on earth. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
