Most Beloved Lord, be gracious to me for I long for You to be a part of my life each day. Be my strength as I arise in the morning and watch over me as I go about my day. You are to be exalted because You have earned a seat at the right hand of Your Father and rule the world with justice and righteousness. You are my sure foundation on which I can stand when everything around me shakes and my confidence has been shaken. I know that You possess the wisdom and knowledge to help me overcome any obstacle I face. When my life feels as dry as the desert, You rain down Your love to refresh me and give me a whole new view of my life. You do this so I can once again bear fruit for Your Kingdom. I have confidence that You will help me overcome my weaknesses and the failures of my past life. I am counting on You to guide me on how to walk uprightly and speak words of hope.
When I am at my weakest, I trust that You will give me the strength that I need to persevere. When fear-filled thoughts come into my mind say to me “Be strong, do not fear. Come into the light with me.” As I hear Your voice, my eyes will be opened to see Your glory and my ears will be opened to receive Your words. My heart will be filled with joy and I will cry out “Blessed are You O Lord of the universe who has come to save me.” Out of my inner most being shall flow rivers of living water that will give life to those who are around me. As I draw closer to You, You will show me the way You planned for my life. The road will lead me out of depressions and doubt into the hope of my calling. Therefore, I walk in confidence knowing that You are always with me. You never stop pointing me in the right direction and encouraging me to get beyond the things that hold me back.
My greatest desire is to become more like You. I know that You’ve laid out You plan for me in Your Word. Help me be diligent in seeking to dialogue with You through Your Word. Shine Your light on the truths that will guide me through life. Correct me when You see I am not being attentive to Your instructions. I want my eyes, ears, and heart to be open to all that You want to tell me. I believe that Your words are life and I want to live by them. You have spoken of Yourself as being the only way to the Father and the path that leads to Him is narrow. Therefore Your words call me to pay attention to them and, rather than complaining about the narrow path, rejoice in the fact that there is a path at all. You have the truths that lead to eternal life and give me hope for a better life. I want You to know that I rely on You totally for my welfare and direction. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
