O God Most High, I am grateful that when You left this earth You promised You would never leave or forsake me. As a result, I am content with what I have because I know that You are overseeing my life and will take care of all of my needs. If I am diligent in observing all of the things that You command, You will be my strong right arm and will protect me from the storms I will surely face. Your promise to not abandon me gives me comfort regarding my future. It assures me that everything I need to withstand the tests that come my way will be there when I need them. Fear has no place in my life because I know You are standing with me. I will not be dismayed by the confusion heaped on me by circumstances because I have Your light to show me the way I am to go. I count on Your strength when I am weak … I seek You when I need help … and, I run to You when evil tries to invade my life.
Whenever I cry out to You, I know I will be heard and You stand ready to take up my cause. As long as I place my trust in You, trouble will not overwhelm me. You are bigger and stronger than any obstacle that I face. You are my refuge to whom I run whenever circumstances try to overtake me. You guard my path and cast off any enemy who comes to sabotage my peace and happiness. When I find myself with a broken heart, it is You who puts it back together. And, when I am wounded by the words or actions of others, it is the balm of Your love that heals me. Because I know You are with me … there is no tribulation, or distress, or peril, or persecution that can cause me to abandon You. Through my trust in You, I’ve been made more than a conqueror in all things. And, I’m convinced that there is no power or force or anything created that can separate me from Your love or reach.
You are a kind and merciful Lord. The One who is faithful to me even when I have not been faithful to You. Because of Your commitment to me, I will stand my ground regardless of what comes upon me. Worry has no place in my life because I know You are there to protect me. When everyone else abandons me, I know that You will be there to care for my needs. Your words bring peace and hope to my life. Your mercy releases me from the shackles of sin and condemnation. As I go about my day, I try to cast all of my cares on You because I am convinced of Your care and concern for me. You are my refuge and my strength … without them, I have no hope. When I call out to You, I know You are ready to deliver me from whatever troubles I might face. These are just some of the reasons that make me feel You are ever present in my life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will never leave or forsake you.
