Praise be to You, O King of Kings, for You have kept back nothing from me that is helpful to my walk with You. You have explained that without faith it is impossible to please You and, if I come to You, I must believe that You are God and that You will reward me as I set out to diligently seek You and Your ways. For it is by grace, the abundance of Your love and faith that You are made real to me. You have made it clear in Your Word that “… no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again”. Therefore, if I am willing to make You my Lord and Master, I will be given the right to become Your child … and in so doing I will not have been born of flesh and blood, nor of the will of man, but of You. If I accept Your offer, I will receive eternal life … and, if I refuse, only Your wrath awaits me. In giving myself to You, I become a new creation and old things pass away and all things become new.
Because You bore my sins in Your body on the cross, You have redeemed me from the powers of sin and death. You were wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities. The chastisement for my peace was placed upon You and through Your suffering I’ve been restored to wholeness. I was broken and You’ve put me back together with the glue of Your love. I was like a sheep who had gone astray and sought only the things that pleased me but, as My Good Shepherd, You came looking for me and brought me into Your fold. With all of my heart, I believe that you died willingly for my sins, were buried and rose again so that I could be triumphant over the things that try to keep me away from You. Through Your love, doors to power and grace have been opened to me so that I can walk in victory with my head held high.
As a result of my new life in You, I have … a companion in times of loneliness … relief from sorrow and suffering … guidance in making tough decisions … protection in times of danger … courage for overcoming fear … strength to uphold me … peace in place of turmoil … faith in times of temptation … and, forgiveness when I go astray. In all of my needs, You have been my provision. You have put a hedge of protection around me to keep me from harm. You have made me feel valued and loved. You have filled my life with good things and Your desire is for me to live in the fullness of life that You won for me. Help me to never take You or Your gifts for granted. I am eternally grateful for all that You’ve done, are doing and will do to make my life better. And most of all, I want to thank You for my gift of eternal life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have eternal life.
