Dear Lord, I praise You for Your favor, grace and kindness which You lavish upon me. You are the God of the impossible … an unconditional lover of Your people … always near in times of need … an ever present guide showing the way to truth and righteous living … my covering in the midst of a storm … a God who expects much, but nags little … calling and encouraging me to exceed expectations … at all times helping me live my life to the fullest … a constant friend who wraps me in the safety of His arms.
You made the heavens and the earth by Your power and now stretches out Your hand to help me. Nothing is too hard for You to do. You have performed miracles and done wondrous deeds throughout the ages. In Your power, guide me to Your truth and its wisdom. You who created the mountains and calmed the sea, endue me with the ability to stand strong when facing adversity. Help me fully comprehend the wonder of … my life sustained by Your Word … my soul being cleansed by Your blood … and, my ability to accomplish the impossible through my faith in You. (YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT)
There is no place I can hide where You cannot find me. If I go up into the heavens, there You are. If I dive down to the depths of the ocean, there You are. If I descend into the center of the earth, there You will be also. I know that no matter where I go, You will never be far from me. The laws of time, gravity and travel do not constrain You. You will always be able to reach me and my needs no matter where I go. (YOU ARE OMNIPRESENT)
You have perfect knowledge and know all things. Your understanding has no limits. Since ancient times, You have revealed what is to come. Nothing in creation is hidden from You. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before You. You have searched my heart and examined me so You can correct or reward me as is appropriate. You have seen the evil I have done and brought my most secret sins into the light of Your presence. Cleanse me and teach me the goodness of Your ways. (YOU ARE OMNISCIENT)
Now, unto You who is able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine, shine Your light on me. You have promised that if I draw closer to You … then You will draw closer to me. I know that Your eyes are upon the righteous and Your ears are inclined toward their prayers. You watch closely each step that I take. When I am tried through the struggles in my life, I know I will come through like purified gold. I give thanks that You are My God, My All. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
