My Great and Awesome God, I rejoice in the fact that You have made a covenant with all who love You and obey Your commands. I bow down before You in deepest respect and devotion. For You alone possess a pure heart and are righteous in everything You do. You have been faithful to me through thick and thin … in good times and bad. Your heart is filled with compassion for my struggles and infirmities. You listen to my prayers and petitions. And, You are always ready to respond to my needs. Open my eyes that I may see more of You and open my mind so I understand more about Your words and Your ways. Expand my vision so that I can better comprehend the power and tools You provide for tackling the issues and problems I face in my life. Hear my cries, O Lord, and forgive my transgressions. Walk with me daily so that I may prosper, grow in stature and become more like You.
Because of Your immense love, I am perpetually invited to return to You whenever I stumble and fall from Your good graces. Because I am Your child, You have reserved a seat for me at Your banqueting table in eternity. I will give You praise always because I serve a Great and Awesome God who liberally dispenses grace, mercy and blessings upon me. I am confident that You will nourish my faith so that my impossibilities will become possibilities. If I start to drift away from You because of circumstances or distractions, draw me back to the love that warms my heart and gives me a reason to live. Reawaken in me the will to do good, serve others and spread joy. Renew my mind so that I can make good decisions, learn how to obey Your commands and act wisely in the ways I spend my time.
O Glorious and Omnipotent God, I will forever give praise and thanks to You for the many good things You’ve brought into my life. The chief one being the sacrifice You made, through Your suffering and death, so that I might live in eternity with You. I also want to give You thanks for the gift of the Holy Spirit who You left to care for me and guide me in Godly living. I rejoice in the knowledge that my needs will be met through Your gracious intercession and Your moving upon others to help me in my times of need. I am grateful for the purpose You’ve given to my life … the time and talents You’ve given me … and, the hope I have of spending eternity with You. I live each day aware of the fact that I am in the presence of a Great and Awesome God and I feel safe and loved in Your arms. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
