My Saving Lord, when I put my life into Your hands, I gave You complete control over how my life would go. If I keep my eyes on You, I am confident of Your support and direction for my life. I am assured that, if I stumble, I will not fall because You will uphold me. In all of my time here on earth, I’ve never felt like You’ve abandoned me. You are generous with Your love and You’ve provided me with all of the things I need to be successful and prosperous. Each time I choose to turn from evil and do good, I know You are pleased and want to reward me. You are faithful and just and keep me on the right path. I believe that You will protect me from danger and have set a banqueting table for me when I enter Paradise. You have taught me the truths I need to know in order to walk wisely. You have written Your laws upon my heart and I’m obliged to walk in them.
You watch over me and provide the sound foundation upon which I walk. If I give You the freedom to direct my ways, whenever I ask for Your help or advice I know that You will willingly provide what I need. It is often hard for me to remain patient while waiting for You to act when I want things to change right away. However, knowing that each of my steps are directed by You allows me to trust that everything will eventually work out for my good. If I submit to Your timing, I will better allow You to honor my requests. I can never forget Your promise which assures me that if I … “Humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand He may lift you up in due time.” Trust and patience are my keys to a successful and overcoming life. As a follower of Yours, I must accept the fact that I can freely ask for Your mercy, but I should not feel like I do not deserve correction. For actions dictate consequences.
With great anticipation, I venture into the depths of Your Word and I view them through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. I use these insights as guides to paths of righteousness. If I reject the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I close the door to revelations that will bolster my chances for a good life. I understand that He is the One You left behind to teach me how to walk in accordance with Your plan for me. I rejoice in knowing He lives in me and bears witness to the things I need to know. My decision to join my life with Yours is one that has an everlasting impact and allows me to bear fruit for Your Kingdom. Your presence shines light into my life that allows me to follow You wherever You lead me. I now understand that Your truths have been hidden from the world, but are revealed to those of us who chose to link our lives to Yours. How great it is to have my life ordered by You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
