Pearls of Wisdom #1 and A Prayer

Be joyful when you encounter troubles and trials seeing each as an opportunity to grow in faith.

If I use it well, my day will be a blessing.

When I show respect to God and others, respect will be shown to me.

It’s not so much what I say that matters, it’s how I’m heard.

Being a good steward requires diligence and oversight of my time, talents and resources.

I must show myself to be friendly if I want to have friends.

To love like God is to love unconditionally.

As I follow Christ, goodness and mercy will follow me.

The more I give, the more I get so I can give more … this is God’s circle of life.

Life is not all about me.

 Nothing changes until something changes.

To give is better than to receive because it feels better and is Christ-like.

Wherever You go, Lord, I will go … and I know that will take me to some strange new places.

Better to trust than try it alone.

If one can do it, two can do it better.

Be still and you’ll be able to hear what God is saying to you.

To smile shows hope and contentment … to frown shows disappointment and emptiness.

If God is for me, who can stand against me?  (Unless I become fearful and doubt.)

To be unshakable requires a solid Rock to stand on.

When I am weak, You are strong and stand in for me.

To believe is not foolish.  What is foolish is not to believe.

Thanks be to You, All-Knowing God, because I do not have to live on the puny knowledge I possess, but the infinite Wisdom You possess.  When I am confounded, I can look to You for my answers.  When my perspective is limited, Yours is vast.  I am thankful that my possibilities are not limited by what I know, rather they are expanded by the vastness of all You know.  I am confident You will continue to reveal Your “Pearls of Wisdom” to me so I can walk on the high road.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!
