Pearls of Wisdom #3 and A Prayer

Matters of faith must first be seen with spiritual eyes before they can be seen with natural eyes.

In Christ, we are limited by what we can believe … or said another way … in Christ, what we believe is what we see as possible.

We must stop feeling comfortable just listening to God’s Word … we must start doing it and then possibly become uncomfortable.

Answer the call, don’t let it keep ringing.

The reason it is hard to be happy is because we refuse to let go of things that make us sad.

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience … we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Remember that your present situation is not your final destination … the best is yet to come.

Be thankful for the bad things that happen in your life because they open up your eyes to see the good things you were not paying attention to before.

One of the hardest decisions you will ever face is deciding whether to walk away or try harder.

You cannot hang around with negative people and expect to lead a positive life.

It is better to walk alone than with a bunch of people headed in the wrong direction.

Never lose hope … you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Following Christ means from the rear … not the front.

Everyone has a word of advice … God’s advice is in His Word.

In dialoguing with God, it is more important to listen than to talk.

The Devil’s gifts are fear and worry … the Lord’s gifts are love, power and a sound mind.

A fool rushes in while a wise man counts the cost.

The triune God … Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The triune Man … Mind, Body and Spirit.

Most Gracious Lord, Your wisdom begins where mine ends.  The sooner I learn that what You have to teach is much better for me than what is to be learned from the world.  I have had to learn some hard lessons from the School of Hard Knocks.  However, when I open my heart and mind to You and hear what You have to say … and, then go about doing it … I find myself happier and more fulfilled.  In Your wisdom, I know that peace, hope and joy are blessings that I can enjoy.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!
