All Knowing God, all wisdom resides with You. Since the beginning of time, Wisdom has dwelled with You. There is no one else who is as wise as You … deserving of honor and praise. You have shared Yourself with me and all of Your people through Your commands and precepts. It has been my choice to reach out and partake of Your gift. When I stop to think of all that You desire to share with me, my heart rejoices and hope flourishes within me. After coming to know Your heart, I have realized that the fear of the Lord is truly the beginning of growth in Godly wisdom. Your Word and the sharing of Your vast knowledge has created a lasting foundation upon which I can build my life. Your all-knowing quality has satisfied my search for understanding, comfort, justice and truth. In Your words are contained all of the provisions I will need for a joyous and prosperous life. Your truth forms a crown upon my head … it protects me from deception, defeat and surprise ambushes.
I ask, O Lord, that You pour out discretion, discernment and good judgement upon me so that I can make good choices and avoid calamity. I know that unrighteous anger cannot be justified, so quiet me when anger threatens to boil up inside of me and seeks to unleash itself. Show me how to be patient and speak only the right thing at just the right time. Help me always speak the truth in love so that my words are never harsh or destructive. I know that as I listen to what You say … obey Your commands … and, open my heart to the revelations of the Holy Spirit … prosperity and grace will abound in my life. I believe that as I remain faithful to You and humble in my attitude, You will share Your wisdom with me and instruct me how to be a good follower.
I am thankful for Your presence in Your word because it penetrates deeply into the depths of my heart and mind. I know that as my love for You grows and I commit myself to Your service, You will pour out Your wisdom on me so I can have a productive life. Help me take the good thoughts created in my prayer time and meditation into acts that will please You, bring You glory and accomplish Your will. Your wisdom has come to my rescue in times of trouble, confusion and distress. You are a God of perfection, complete knowledge and unquestioned character. I am confident in Your love and I recognize the benefits of Godly wisdom. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
