Most Loving Savior, I am overjoyed with Your assurance that You will produce good in my life when I remain faithful to You. I’ve learned that when I ride through a rain storm I will eventually come out of it to a place that is clear and dry … so, when I encounter dark and stormy clouds in my life, if I persevere in faith, I too will come to a clear spot in the road of life. When I become fearful, I know that if I replace it with trust in You, no matter how bad my circumstances seem, You will see me through them. In utilizing faith and perseverance, I believe that my life will get better no matter what challenges I face. You are my faithful watchman who has promised to help me overcome any obstacle that crosses my path … If I don’t lose my grip on You. I am thankful for Your gift of the Holy Spirit who walks with me each day to comfort and guide me through my struggles.
If I take each day one at a time, my struggles will be less burdensome. When I try to fix tomorrow without dealing with today, my troubles only get magnified. My first step has to be doing the next right thing that moves my life in the right direction. I need to understand that in order to be an overcomer I must take one step at a time … one decision at a time … one day at a time. You did not create me for failure nor intend for my road to be a dead end. I must not forget that I never have to travel alone nor will You ever forsake or abandon me. When a trial finds its way into my life, I know that You have a solution for it or found a way around it. You never did promised me an easy life, instead, You promised that if I chose to follow You, my yoke would be easy and my burden would be light. Looking through Your eyes, I see hope, abundance and peace … because living for You takes the bumps out of my road.
I believe that if I continue to acknowledge You in all of my ways, You will direct my path. Like the North Star, which always stays in the same place in the heavens, You are my guiding light that keeps me from getting lost. I find it comforting to know that You will always be there to guide me in my journey. Life is constantly changing and, if I am not careful, I can easily get distracted and go in the wrong direction. If I do not have someone to count on to show me the way to go, I will surely get lost. If I do get lost and begin searching for a way back, I know You will show the way. What I do not want to happen is to find myself moving but never getting to my destination. No matter how confusing life might be, You and Your Word act as a compass to keep me on track. It doesn’t matter how far off course I am, I know You are standing with me and directing me on which road to take. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
