This Is The Will of God

Most Loving God, You take great pride in me when I put You first in my life and I strive to build up the lives of the faithful.  In Your Word, You share with me other principles that You know will add value to my life and bring You honor.  Some of these principles include …

  • Urging the brethren to be industrious and do everything as unto You;
  • Bringing cheer to the broken hearted and discouraged;
  • Supporting the down-trodden and those who’ve lost hope;
  • Being patient with everyone realizing that I don’t get everything right either;
  • Refraining from returning evil for evil;
  • Seeking to do good for everyone … my enemies as well as my friends;
  • Rejoicing in all things so I do not lose heart and feel that life is hopeless;
  • Praying without ceasing on all occasions … remembering that You have big shoulders and You listen to all of my pleas;
  • In all circumstances, giving thanks because complaining won’t accomplish anything;
  • Opening my heart to the Holy Spirit for He has much to share with me … wisdom, comfort and support. And, not quenching the Spirit because I need what He has to give;
  • Not despising or envying those who have a close relationship with You because they work hard to achieve it;
  • Banishing evil from my life by practicing the things You’ve shown me to do;
  • Reading Your Word and meditating on it daily because I have much to learn;
  • Avoid becoming discouraged … knowing that the trying of my faith works patience and teaches me perseverance which, in turn, produces good fruit in my life;
  • Walking confidently in the knowledge that You love me as evidenced by Your death on the cross so I could have eternal life;
  • Remaining humble knowing that every good thing in my life originates from You and that You are perpetually watching over me to insure I do not face anything I cannot handle;
  • Letting peace dwell in my heart and not allowing circumstances to cloud my judgement and lead me to bad choices;
  • Allowing joy to fill my heart because there is much strength to be derived from it; and,
  • Not losing sight of the fact that nothing changes until something changes … because change brings with it new opportunities and blessings.

These are some of the things that You ask of me so that my joy might be full and my confidence of a better tomorrow will become steadfast and unwavering.  Doing good and walking in Your ways are the things that give You joy and are a part of Your will for me.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
