I praise You, O King of Creation, for within You resides all-power, all-wisdom and all-goodness. Your love of Your creation abounds in all that You do. Because You are God, the course of my life will be determined by You and I can either come along willingly or stumble in futility resisting Your plan for my life. I know that I should never become unsettled or alarmed by what is going on around me because You are in control and You are the stabilizing force that sustains me. As the all-knowing God, You have chosen me to partner with You in bringing change into the world where I live. By Your power, You enable me to overcome adversity and trials. Whether I cooperate or not, Your desire will be fulfilled in Heaven and on Earth. Help me to be a facilitator of Your will.
Regardless of how wise I may become, help me never forget that You always know so much more. Often things go on around me that are hurtful or confusing, but that does not change the fact that You will take care of me and act to protect me. Things sometimes come up that make me wonder “can this possibly be God’s will?” But I must trust that all things work together for my good when I will believe and follow Your lead. When I see things going wrong in my life, I may wonder if You see or know or even care about what happens to me … but all I have to do is reflect on Your love, suffering and gift of life on my behalf … and I know better. I believe with all my heart that You brought me into this world for a purpose and have a plan for my life. All I have to do is decide whether I want to cooperate with it. In my walk with You, I’ve come to learn that Your desire is … that all men be saved … that they walk in holiness as You did … that they become humble servants … that they embrace the leading of the Holy Spirit … and, they live by their faith. I commit comply with these things with all of my heart.
In order to accept You, I must believe that You are a good and trustworthy God who laid down His life to show forth His love and concern for me. I need to also remember that You are not a man who lies and Your yea’s are yes and Your nay’s are no. In surrendering to You, the needs and requests which I make known through prayer and supplication will all get a response. I must come to understand that I am not an insignificant person subject to the whims of men, governments and forces of evil … instead, I am a King’s kid subject to the will of my Father. As I learned to follow Your lead, I will find peace, rest, prosperity and holiness in abundance. In your compassion, You will help me conform my life to Your will and You will create in me the desire to be changed into Your image. My desire is that “thy will be done” in my life always. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
