My Omnipotent Lord, I know that I owe you my devotion and dedicated service. I display my love for You in every thought I think and every word that I speak. It is incumbent upon me to share the Good News of Your coming with those who have not heard or those who have turned their back on You and refused to believe. I humbly seek Your boldness in proclaiming Your words and the things that need to be said to draw all men to you. Help me walk in Your ways so that I can shine a light into the darkness that will help them distinguish between living righteously and living in darkness. By the Holy Spirit, fill me with the power to go forth boldly declaring the reality of who You are. You have promised that You are trustworthy and will support me … therefore, I must ask for more of You in me; seek You so I can find you in whatever I’m going through; and, knock so that doors of understanding will be opened to me.
You have invited me to pray for my needs … study your words to find the truth … seek the gift of understanding so I can prosper and grow … and, persevere in learning the lessons that will teach me how to walk uprightly. Because I am a fallen creation, I have a tendency to procrastinate or ignore doing the things You ask of me. My Bible sits idle on my coffee table rather than using it to penetrate Your truths. By ignoring Your guidance and encouragement, I encounter endless frustration and waste a lot of energy. When I apply myself to the truths contained in Your words, I begin to comprehend Your divine ideas and the path to my success. It is my obedience … propelled by my faith … that pleases You the most. By my obedience, I am carried beyond what I thought were my limitations to what is my potential. Help me expand my view so I can be involved in expanding Your Kingdom.
With joy and excitement in my heart, I am looking forward to a better understanding and knowledge of what Your plan is for me. I ask for Your strength and resolve in accepting my calling and doing it without question. I want to develop a partnership with the Holy Spirit that will help me in becoming more like You. I want Him to turn on the light in my mind that will allow me to use the Scriptures to unlock the shackles of sin in my life and show me how to walk in the liberty earned for me on the cross. Help me become a doer of Your words. I want to no longer be carnal which limits my ability to achieve the impossible … and, instead live by faith, which expands my possibilities. Help me learn how to deny myself and my carnal desires in order to be an advocate for heavenly ones. I am committed to going all in for You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
Psalm 35:3-5 Trust in the Lord and do good; delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your ways to the Lord, trust Him and He will do it.
