My Gracious Leader, I am thankful for Your encouragement that stirs me to move ahead when adversity comes into my life to stifle it. I need someone who believes in me and is confident that I can accomplish the task set before me. I am encouraged and strengthened by knowing You will stand with me until I prevail. Because You are the source of all goodness, Your intentions and plans for my life are good and filled with hope. As Your child, You have a plan for me and will train me for the tasks You have for me to do. I know that the race You’ve picked for me will have pain, suffering and hardship but through patience and perseverance will see me through to its conclusion. No matter where I find myself, You’ve assured me that You will not forget me and You’ll strengthen me so I can achieve my goal. Each time that I fail, Your plan provides for a new beginning and a path to get myself back on course.
I am so grateful for the plan You have for me because it is filled with prosperity, protection and hope. In times of prevailing trouble, I should shake off signs of depression and discouragement because I have Your promise that You will never leave or forsake me. As long as I keep You at the center of my life and plans, You will produce good outcomes that will fulfil me and bless others. In order to assure myself of a lasting hope and bright future, I must pray faithfully and spend time with You in my prayer closet. I know I will be able to ward off despair and overcome defeat, if I remain close to You. Regardless of what I face, if I have You … Your mercy … and, Your grace … I know that I can overcome any difficulty and find a path to victory. When I seek You, I know that You can be found and no amount of sorrow, frustration or stress can separate me from Your love.
Whenever I become confused and lost, I trust that You will rescue me from captivity and bring me once again into Your marvelous light. I must accept that if Your deliverance does not come quickly it may be because You want to teach me a lessen I need to learn in order to become successful. Or, that my prayers are being hindered, because someone else is dragging their feet. Even though I struggle to comprehend and grasp Your plan for me, You want to reveal it to me and will strive in every way possible to gain my attention and prevent me from going down the wrong path. As I learn to trust You more, I know I will become more attentive and obedient. When I start believing that Your goal is to prosper me, it will become easier to surrender my will to You and take up my cross to follow You. Help me grasp Your plan for my life so I can live in harmony with You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
