I bless You, O Lord, and I rejoice in the fact that You have promised me that You would never leave or forsake me. When I feel alone, You quickly come to reassure me and stand by my side. You possess the ability to remove fear from my heart and fill me with courage. In the silence, I hear Your voice restoring my confidence and calming my uneasiness. I strive to keep from worrying and fretting because I know that I am Yours and You are with me at all times. When my spirit starts to sag and I feel hopelessness creeping into my life, I sense Your presence and my spirit is uplifted. When I long to see You, Your light shines upon me and I feel the warmth of Your love. In You alone am I able to find rest from my labors and help in times of need. When I drift away from You and I’m struggling to find my way back, I hear You calling my name and I follow the sound of Your voice until I find my way back to You.
When life takes a turn for the worse and I’m falling into despair, I believe that You will give me the strength to persevere. When I sin against You or my fellow man, You are quick to forgive me when I show true remorse and repentance. Sometimes I find it hard to understand and walk in Your ways but, if I seek the help of the Holy Spirit, He reveals what I need to know. If I am unsure about my path forward, I trust that the Spirit will lead me to the place where I am supposed to go. As I learn to live in the freedom You earned for me, I know that Your peace will surround me and Your joy will fill my heart. As each day passes, You make me feel valued and cherished which tells me that I am Your beloved. Help me expand my possibilities by revealing more of Yourself to me as I read and meditate on Your Word. I believe that the essence of who You are is contained in Your words and I want them to be a part of me.
In Your loving arms, I have found a place of peace and rest. When I suffer, I think of You and offer it up as a symbol of my connection to You. Because I’ve built my life on You as its foundation, I believe (with all my heart) that the tests and trials I face will never shake me from my confidence in You. As I begin to walk in Your ways, I’m learning to live the way You did and I’m feeling more a part of You. You died so I could live and I promise to lead my life to the fullest … not to please me, but to please You. I live to follow in Your footsteps, knowing that Your desire is to enrich my life and bring me home to live with You forever. As a result of our shared love, I know that You are mine and I am Yours and we are one. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
