I praise You, O King of Glory, and I adore You for You have summoned me by name and called me to be Your very own. In Your love, You have assured me that the storms of life will not destroy me because You stand with me. And, when the winds of my emotions threaten to sweep away my peace, patience and resolve, You will return me to peace and rest. You have shown me that I am precious in Your sight and, as a result, You take my hand each day to show me the way I must go. I believe that I was created for Your glory and was formed in Your image and likeness. Help me walk worthy of Your calling on my life. Help me be unashamed about telling others of Your greatness and the abundance of Your love and mercy. For You have given me a glimpse of the beauty of Your heart and I need to share that vision with others who cannot see.
For You, My Lord, are a God from who nothing is hidden. You know all things … understand all things … see all things … look into the minds of Your created ones to know their every thought … and, understand their every emotion and need. I make it through each day by focusing on the fact that You gave me life and I will not be forsaken. When I fall away, Your hand will always be extended to take me back. Once I repent, my offenses will be swept away like clouds driven by the wind. Your message will always be “return to me for You are the redeemed of the Lord.” When troubles besiege me on every side, You will send help to rescue me. When it seems that all is lost, my life feels empty and I am anxious … I will trust that You will send me Your love and hope. Then my heart will be able to rejoice because of the great things You have done and my mouth will burst forth into song because of Your mercy and kindness.
I know that You are The God who created all things and they each give testimony to the awesomeness of Your power. You confound the wise with words that are simple and true. You strike down the teachings of the learned and mystify them with Your wisdom. You’ve overtaken darkness with light. You’ve restored that which has been destroyed. You’ve rebuilt the foundation of my life as it crumbled under the weight of stress and troubles. You’ve given me the strength to persevere through my hardships. When I weep, You dry my tears and hold me tenderly in Your arms. When I am lost, I know that My Good Shepherd will come looking for me and bring me back into His fold. I am thankful, Lord, that because of my faith is in You, no door to prosperity or good fortune will ever be permanently closed to me. I have confidence that wherever I go, You will go before me eliminating any obstacle that stands in my way. It is a wonderful thing to be wrapped in the assurance of Your love. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscious and having bodies washed with pure water.
