Strengthen me, O Majestic King, for my soul is weary and I cannot find rest … invigorate me with Your energy and power. I know that I can be fortified if I walk in Your ways. Strengthen my feeble hands and steady my wobbling knees when worry and fear come to torment me. Help me stand firm knowing that Your power and courage will be my rear guard. I understand that as Your disciple, I will not be able to avoid trials and tribulation, but after a time of struggle, You will restore me, refill me with energy, endue me with power and fortify me to stand firm against trouble. As You turn sure defeat into victories, I will praise You for Your mighty deeds and the wonders You’ve done on my behalf. Blessed am I whose strength comes from You who’s prepared me in spirit, mind and body to run Your appointed race for me. As I deal with strongholds in my life, I will look to You and Your might to help me pull them down. You are my source of wise counsel and sound judgment on how to lead my life.
Blessed are You , My Security and Place of Refuge, for You are the solid Rock and mighty Fortress to whom I run. You are the hedge that surrounds me when my enemies come against me. You make me feel secure because my hope is in You and You never fail me. At night, I can lie down and sleep in peace knowing that You will be watching over me as I sleep. You are the Refuge to whom I run when danger approaches. You are my constant and ever-present help in times of need. When I am threatened, I take shelter in the shadow of Your wings until the danger is past. Because You shelter me from harm, I am able to trust You and follow Your lead. I know that if I make my dwelling place in You … no harm will befall me nor disaster come knocking at my door. I trust that when You speak, You will do what You have promised. You alone are my trust-worthy place of safety.
All praise and honor be Yours, My Glorious Defender, for Your shield turns away the fiery darts of my enemies. Your mighty strength and watchful eyes keep me safe and form a wall of defense around me. Behind the wall, I can take refuge and find safety. Your Wisdom is a shield that protects my thoughts in times of strife and turmoil. Deliver me from my enemies and protect me from those who mean to do me harm. I know that I should never fear because Your shield, sword and buckler stand ready to deliver me. Because of the protection You offer, I can walk in peace and find rest. As a result of Your constant vigilance, I am able to trust You and follow in Your footsteps. Because of Your love, I know that You will subdue my enemies and preserve my life. The words You speak are true and I know that when You promise to defend me … that is exactly what You will do. As my Strength, my Security and my Defender, You are more than enough and I place my life in Your hands. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
