You Are My Provision

Who is like You, O Lord?  You are magnificent in battle.  You abound in love.  You work miracles before Your people in testimony of Your power and greatness.  You are sensitive to my heartache and yearnings.  You remain ever ready to come to my aid.  Because of Your awesome goodness, I bow down in homage to You.

O Source of My Provision, teach me how to deal with the adversity and stress I find in my life.  Hopeless circumstances provide an opportunity for You to form and shape my character.  Whenever I encounter danger, shortages of supply or inconveniences, my tendency is to complain and grumble because my way has become harder … not easier.  You, however, want me to stand my ground and rely on You to come to my aid.  You ask me to rely on Your power and Your wisdom in dealing with the sources of my problems … not mine.  I must learn to accept the fact that Your timing will rarely coincide with mine, but Yours will always be perfect.  Teach me to wait and take comfort in Your desire to prosper me with good things.  Send Your Holy Spirit to guide me through my wilderness experiences the way that You sent the pillar of fire to guide Your people out of the desert and into their promised land.

You have made provision for all of my needs and Your supply is inexhaustible.  I trust that through living in accordance with Your instructions and adhering to the principles in Your Word, I will successfully come through the storms in my life.  In adapting and finding success, I must take small steps and not try to cover the whole journey in one giant step.  Help me live out each day believing that You will take care of my needs.  Turn my heart toward You so that I can see with eyes that see … hear with ears that hear … and, comprehend the importance of Your call on my life.  You alone know me and understand me and can guide me to truth.  I want to listen to what You say and then do it so I do not become a worldly scoffer.  In my day, I hear You saying “Listen and hear my voice … pay attention to what I have to say”.  My humble reply is “here I am Lord.”  Out of my blindness, gloom and darkness, help me find my way to You.  In my emptiness and need, I come to You as my source of supply because I know Your provision is more than enough.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
