My Faithful Lord, I always go back and reflect on Your promises when problems and difficulties come my way and I begin to feel defeated. These are some of the promises I rely on:
- I will make you fishers of men. This is Your call for me to be productive spiritually. It requires hearing and mastering Your words in order to be equipped to reach out to the unsaved.
- I will be your rock and sound foundation. You are The Rock upon which I build a successful life. When I hear Your words and put them into practice, I am building upon a sound foundation.
- I no longer require sacrifices; I will dispense mercy. Your mercy is Your gift to those of us who answer Your call and receive salvation instead of trying to do work to attain it.
- I will put my Spirit in you. You have provided me with a helper to guide me, comfort me and teach me how to apply the things You teach.
- I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. In this promise, You give the tools I need to help others find their way into Your Kingdom.
- I will put you in charge of many things. As I do the little things You ask of me and commit my time, talents, and treasures to serving You, You will give me ever increasing opportunities to serve You more.
- I will go ahead of You. This promise ensures me that You are never far away and that You will be there to show me my way wherever I go.
- I will show You the Father. As a believer, as I learn more about You, I am having more of the Father revealed to me. For the two of You are as One.
- I will allow you to do greater things than I did. This assures me that I will be given everything I need to accomplish the things You have set before me to do.
- I will never drive away those who come to me. If my surrender to You is genuine, I have the assurance that You will never send me away … or reject me.
- I will prepare a place for You and I will come back and take you with Me so that you may be where I am. Because You and I are bound together for eternity, You have gone before me to make a place for me when I depart from the earth.
- I will give you the love of the Father because He loved you before you ever knew Him. And because of that love, You have been sent to redeem my soul.
- I will be your Advocate before the Father. No accusation will be made that You will not stand up for me and shield me from anything for which I am falsely accused.
- I will be an offering given up for the remission of sins. When I surrendered my life to You, my soul became spotless as it was washed in Your blood.
II Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.
