Most Adorable Savior, I am thankful that You obeyed Your Father’s command to come to earth and bring with You a little piece of Heaven. In coming, You gave me the hope that the desires of my heart would be fulfilled and my needs would be met. You taught me that, if I had enough faith, nothing would be withheld from me. As my trust and reliance on You has grown, I now believe that good can and will prevail in my life. For the first time, I am experiencing freedom from anxiety, worry and fear. My confidence comes from knowing You are in control. In Your peace, I am able to escape the turmoil, frustrations and troubles that many others have to face. Walking with You leaves me feeling secure and safe. In You, I have found a quiet rest that is produced from knowing that You have reconciled me to Your Heavenly Father and I’ve been freed from the shackles of sin and death.
Through Your generosity, I am experiencing true love. A love that is unconditional and freely given. It is filled with tenderness and kindness. In it, I feel accepted for who I am and Your desire is for me to become the best I can be. In Your love, I feel valued and worthwhile because You were willing to sacrifice the most treasured thing You had to give … Your life … and, through it, redeemed me from the clutches of Hell. Without Your example, I would have never known how to love the way it needs to be expressed … unselfishly. Joy has also filled my life since You came to earth. And, my feelings of joy are no longer based on things or events, but my connection with You. Each day I awake with a joyful expectation of good filling my life and being able to share it with others. I am able to live in the bliss of knowing that my salvation is secure and that Your blessings and favor follow me wherever I go.
You have helped me to see that the pursuit of power, privilege and the accumulation of wealth do not lead to happiness, but a desire to fulfill the lusts of my flesh. You have cautioned me to watch out for false prophets and shallow friendships. You’ve allowed me to see the injustices of man to his fellow man. And I’ve come to grips with the fact that men now live to gratify “themselves” … “right now”. There is little impartiality or open mindedness left in the world. Truth is what You want it to be … there are no longer any absolutes in carnal thinking. There seems to be no connection between reward and punishment when people do despicable things. Integrity and morals are scoffed at as being old fashion and no longer needed. I am so glad that You came to show me a little piece of Heaven so I can resist the pull of the world and my enemies. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
