You have treated me well, O Lord, and have been faithful in honoring Your promises. You have called me to be Your own and have been faithful in doing all You have spoken through Your Word. Like the waters in a river, You bring refreshing to parched souls who long for peace and rest. If the mountains should crumble, fire rain down from the sky or the earth beneath my feet get swallowed up by an earthquake … none of these things will change Your being God or remaining faithful to Your own. I live in contentment each day knowing that You will not remove Your loving kindness from me nor take away my hedge of protection. I will forever look to You as my Redeemer, Defender, Companion and Guide. I am comforted in knowing that You go with me everywhere I go and, if I start drifting away from You, You will bring me back to Yourself. My heart clings to You and I will listen intently to Your every word.
Because You love me and honor Your Word, I trust You to deliver me from the hands of evil and redeem me from the bondage brought on by my sins. Because of Your love for me, I will remain faithful to You, and I am confident that You will be faithful to me. My experience has taught me You do all that You promise when I remain obedient to Your will. Sometimes You allow me to be tested, but I know that You will never withdraw from me and I must not lose hope. I must steadfastly remain loyal to You and believe that You will do what You say You will do to intercede on my behalf. In Your desire for a genuine relationship with me, You’ve shown me mercy and pledged Your total commitment to me. My goal is to share with the others about Your faithfulness which can be theirs if they will surrender their lives to You. I know that Your faithfulness never fails nor do Your covenants ever get broken.
In Your love, I’m assured of Your constant watchfulness over my life. I know that You never slumber and remain vigilant to keep evil away from me. You have promised that You will not allow any form of temptation to overcome me because You are faithful in delivering me from evil. I understand that all the things I go through are common to all men and You take whatever steps are required to keep us from being overwhelmed by our circumstances. You are generous to me and never hold back Your blessings. I know I can always count on You to carry my load when it becomes heavy and help me when I no longer feel like going on. As I remain faithful to You in the things I say and do, You remain faithful to me in all the things You say and do on my behalf. My confidence comes from knowing that You know Your own and will stand by them in all things. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
